How TradeyVoice operates within legal and regulatory frameworks

TradeyVoice is designed to support tradespeople and service-based businesses in requesting customer reviews following completed jobs. The service operates within a clearly defined scope and is not a marketing platform, booking system, CRM, or job management tool.

Service-related communications

Messages sent via TradeyVoice are service-related communications, not promotional marketing campaigns. All messages:

  • Relate to work or services already completed
  • Are sent shortly after a job has been finished
  • Are typically a single review request (not ongoing campaigns)
  • Include a clear opt-out option by replying STOP

TradeyVoice does not send bulk promotions, advertising campaigns, or unsolicited marketing messages.

Data protection roles

When TradeyVoice is used by a business:

  • The business remains the data controller
  • Booking Butler Ltd, operator of TradeyVoice, acts solely as the data processor

Personal data is processed only on the documented instructions of the business and exclusively for service-related communication following completed work.

SMS delivery

SMS messages may be delivered using shared service numbers operated by TradeyVoice. These numbers function purely as a technical delivery mechanism for sending service-related communications on behalf of individual businesses.

Use of shared messaging infrastructure does not transfer ownership or control of customer data and does not alter the business's role as data controller.

Data usage and minimisation

TradeyVoice processes only the minimum data required to deliver the service. This may include:

  • Customer first name
  • Mobile phone number
  • Job or service type
  • Date of job completion
  • Message delivery and interaction status

TradeyVoice does not process payment information, home addresses, dates of birth, or sensitive personal data. Customer data is never sold, shared for marketing purposes, or reused outside delivery of the service.

Customer feedback and sharing

TradeyVoice enables businesses to present their work through a branded page and request feedback from customers. Customers may choose to leave a review or share their experience via messaging or social platforms.

Any sharing or review submission is initiated voluntarily by the customer. TradeyVoice does not post or publish content on behalf of customers without their action.

Client care responsibility

TradeyVoice supports a simple, structured request for feedback following completed work. It does not automate ongoing communication or repeated follow-up.

Businesses remain responsible for how they manage customer relationships beyond the initial review request.
